Women Count – Security Council Resolution 1325: Civil Society Monitoring Report 2010

The absence of regular monitoring and reporting by Member States continues to be one of the key challenges in the implementation of the UN Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 1325 on Women, Peace and Security. On the part of civil society, the Global Network of Women Peacebuilders along with our members and partners realized the value of monitoring much earlier on, carrying out yearly monitoring exercise since 2010.

The first Women Count report published in 2010 features outcomes of civil society monitoring of UNSCR 1325 implementation in Afghanistan, Burundi, Canada, DRC, Fiji, Nepal, Netherlands, Philippines, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, and Uganda.
