Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom-DRC (WILPF/DRC-Group)


Background: The Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom-DRC (WILPF/DRC-Group) is a branch of WILPF launched in December 16, 2007. The organization has since developed relationships with many organizations (both nationally and internationally) in the field of advocacy related to the goals of WILPF.
Mission: Contribute to the elimination of gender discrimination and to engage in construction and consolidation of peace in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
Programs: Monitoring of the implementation of UN Security Council Resolutions 1325 and 1820, advocacy for the cause of women, girls and families in the DRC, civic education, political participation and gender equality in local government.
